December 2006Surfing the Net - an illustrated code of conduct.About the projectStudents of both partner schools are asked to formulate basic rules of surfing the Net and illustrate them with pictures. They exchange their serious, ironic and funny ideas with the peers from the partner school creating guidelines displayed on the website. Polish websiteInterviewInterview with teachers from both partner schools, Anna Sosnowska from Poland and Zuzana Christozova from Slovakia 1. Why have you started this project? Anna Sosnowska: The project
was made up for the needs of Safer Internet Day 2007 Competition. It
contains basic rules of how to prevent the Internet user from intrusion.
It gives our students the opportunity to exchange the tips on e-privacy
and aims to make our work and communication via the Internet safer. Zuzana Christozova: We
learnt about the project Surfing the Net from our Polish partner school.
The idea of discussing e-privacy made me interested in the issue
especially because of the fact that I am an IT teacher. 2. What do you expect from the project? Anna Sosnowska: We hope to
create the Internet guide of how to protect our passwords and fight
against viruses and spam. It is vital to make our students aware of the
threats to our security while we send and open e-mails, install software,
use electronic banking systems or just enter different websites. Our students should be conscious that they have the right to protect all their personal information and become anonymous and safe. Zuzana Christozova:
Participation in this project is a challenge for me and my students.
Creating the guide of how to prevent us against viruses and spam is a
vital step of making our students aware of the threats while surfing the
Net.
