Money, money, moneyMoney is counted and spent every day. Polish currency is called zloty. In the banknotes you can discern the pictures of Polish kings, though most of us don’t pay attention to this fact. 200 zloty is represented by
Sigismund I the Old (1467-1548) who belonged to Jagiellonian
dynasty. The son of king Casimir IV and Eizabeth. He was coronated as king
of Poland on January 1507. 100 zloty has a picture of Wladislaus II Jagiello – he was born in 1351 and
died in 1434. Grand Prince of Lithuania from 1377-1401, became king of
Poland in 1386 after converting to Christianity and marrying Jadwiga. 50
zloty with Casimir III the Great (1310-1370) who was the son of king Władysław I Łokietek and Jadwiga. He was
the last Piast king of Poland. 20
zloty with Bolesław I the
Brave. He was born in 966 or 967 and died in 1025. He belonged to Piast
dynasty. The son of Mieszko I and Dobrawa (Czech princess) 10
zloty – Mieszko I was
born in 935 and died in 992.The son of legendary Siemomysł. He was
the first Piast duke of the Polans, who gave the name to our country later
